Who we are
After a career of 16 years at the Dutch Marine Corps, several missions and countless trainings all over the world, Armand van Velzen decided to leave his officer’s career to found Business Take Off with a colleague in 2014. In a short period of time they managed to bind leading businesses by using a no-nonsense approach and a boundless desire to win. They consciously opted for a growth strategy: In 2015 they started a partnership with a select group of Associate Partners.
One of these partners is the experienced business consultant Cathalijne van Melle. She has developed her track record as a consultant with several, international HR consultancies in Europe and Moscow. This is where she proved to be from the same mould as a marine: be successful under difficult circumstances and deliver quality and added value to customers. Cathalijne’s fields of expertise are talent management and leadership and team development within international organisations.
The combination between the private sector and the Marine Corps turned out to be extremely successful. In 2018 they laid the foundations together for the next important growth stage of the company, with a new name and identity: ALLIED FORCES.
